Bread crumbs

125 gr of day-old slices of bread.

Put the slices in the oven until the bread is dry and crisp (around 10 minutes, at 150ยบ C). Allow to cool.

Crumble it by hand, put it inside a bag and crush it with a rolling pin, until it is ground as fine as desired. To grind it even finer, pass it through a sieve.

To grind it in a food processer , put the pan inside the chopping bowl and pulse until the desired fineness is reached.

French Toast

    * 6 slices of day-old bread
    * 1/2 liter of milk
    * 2 eggs
    * Olive oil
    * 3 tablespoons of sugar
    * Cinnamon

Slice the bread if it is not already sliced. Heat the milk, pour it into a dish, and dissolve the sugar into it. Dunk the slices into this mixture. Let them soak up enough milk that they are wet but not falling apart. Take them out and put them in another dish so they shed the excess milk. Beat the eggs, batter the slices with it and fry them on both sides until are golden brown. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar to taste. French toast can be eaten hot or cold, as a dessert, breakfast, or as a snack.
